Recently,in Luozhuang District,Linyi City,Shandong Province,tens of thousands of acres of rice fields have entered the rice transplanting season.Along the irrigation canals,rice fields are full of water,like mirrors,marking the peak season for rice transplanting.Farmers take advantage of the fine weather to transplant rice seedlings,creating a busy scene in the fields.
Rice is one of the main grain crops in Luozhuang District,and its yield directly affects food security and farmers'incomes.Since May,Luozhuang District has experienced continuous high temperatures and low rainfall.To"ensure irrigation and stabilize grain production,"the district has proactively planned and deployed,strengthened water use coordination,and enhanced irrigation capabilities,ensuring the full planting of rice.By actively coordinating and scientifically managing water resources from various places such as the Xiaobudong irrigation area of the Yi River,building temporary irrigation facilities,and dredging canals,water has been gradually released for45,000acres of paddy fields and25,000acres of dry land in the district,effectively ensuring the water needs for summer agricultural planting.
Additionally,during the summer planting period,the district has established a drought monitoring network to keep track of drought conditions in real time,promptly release drought information,and provide a basis for scientific decision-making.Meanwhile,officials have been organized to visit the fields to mobilize and guide farmers to actively engage in self-rescue production efforts,striving to minimize the impact of drought on agricultural production.(By Wang Qinglong and Zhong Weiguo)
