Recently,the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism organized the selection of the'Most Beautiful Public Cultural Spaces'across the province.The Yizhou Road Urban Library in Luozhuang District,Linyi City,was selected as the'Most Beautiful Public Reading Space'.
Stepping into the Yizhou Road Urban Library feels like entering a dream world.The spacious reception area is divided into different reading zones adorned with various green plants.Over a hundred sets of uniquely designed tables and chairs are artfully arranged throughout.Here,numerous smart service facilities such as free Wi-Fi,charging stations,secure access,self-service card issuance,borrowing,and inquiries are available.Neatly arranged bookshelves around the space display tens of thousands of books of various genres.Citizens sit at the tables,immersing themselves in the ambiance of books.
The indoor area of this urban library covers3,200square meters,housing tens of thousands of books.It mainly consists of an adult reading area,a youth reading area,and a youth science and technology enlightenment research hall.With over300reading seats and two large interactive activity zones,it can accommodate up to500learners simultaneously.The library is equipped with amenities such as a water bar,restrooms,and a cultural product exhibition area.The outdoor activity space is spacious,offering over80free parking spots.Since its opening,this library has quickly become a sought-after destination for the public,especially during holidays,with visitors finding it difficult to secure a spot.
In recent years,Luozhuang District has vigorously developed cultural initiatives,utilizing urban spaces like parks,commercial streets,and community streets to promote the construction of urban libraries tailored to the local context.Up to now,four urban libraries including the Yizhou Road Urban Library and the Youfang Public Welfare Library have been completed and made accessible to the public free of charge.These libraries,each housing tens of thousands of books,receive an average daily footfall of over300readers,earning love and praise from the surrounding community."（Wang Qinglong Zhang Congcong）
